Kyrgyzstan and Russia discuss strategic projects in energy and transport

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk held talks on the sidelines of the International Forum Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum 2026. Central Asia needs full-fledged logistics infrastructure — EDB

Central Asian countries need to develop their own logistics infrastructure so that the region not only serves as a transit zone but also derives additional economic benefits from the movement of goods. EDB calls China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway important regional project

The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway is one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the region and will reduce freight delivery times between Asia and Europe by almost a third.
