The new law prohibits all government agencies from requesting documents from citizens if the information is already available in electronic databases.

It also establishes the priority of digital public services. If state authorities can obtain the required information through the interagency electronic data exchange system, they are not allowed to request those documents from applicants.

The law was adopted by the Zhogorku Kenesh on June 11, 2026, replacing the legislation that had been in force since 2014. It will enter into force in three months after its official publication.
