Kyrgyz producers increased fish exports across several categories, with the strongest growth recorded in frozen fish.

Frozen fish: Exports nearly tripled compared to the same period last year, reaching 112.5 tonnes worth $776,000. Russia was the main destination.

Fresh and chilled fish: Exports increased by 9.2 percent to $224,300, totaling 25.3 tonnes.

Live fish: Exports recorded multiple-fold growth, reaching $78,900. The entire volume was exported to Kazakhstan.

Imports of fish products continued to far exceed exports. Although imports of the largest category declined slightly, total imports for several million dollars remained.

Frozen fish: Imports fell by 6.3 percent, but remained the largest at 1,443.5 tonnes valued at $3,636.2 million. Chile supplied fish worth $1,086.5 million, while Russia accounted for $921,200.

Fresh and chilled fish: Imports increased by 6 percent to $308,600, with Kazakhstan remaining the principal supplier.

Fish fillets: Imports rose by 46.6 percent to $233,200.

Live fish: Imports increased 6.3-fold to $25,200, with Uzbekistan serving as the sole supplier.
