The event was attended by Zhenish Seidaliev, First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, reserve’s staff, representatives of local government, subordinate organizations of the ministry, and veterans of the environment protection system.

The construction of the new checkpoint is aimed at improving the reserve’s infrastructure, strengthening entry controls, and creating a more organized environment for visitors.

Following the ceremony, the First Deputy Minister reviewed the reserve’s current operations, the state of its infrastructure, and discussed future development plans for Sary-Chelek with its management.

The Sary-Chelek State Biosphere Reserve is one of Kyrgyzstan’s unique natural areas. It is known for its picturesque Sary-Chelek Lake, mountain forests, and rich diversity of flora and fauna. The reserve is an important part of the country’s natural heritage and plays a special role in preserving the unique ecosystems of the Western Tien Shan.
