According to police, the work is being conducted in Samarkandek aiyl aimak, where historical and archaeological sites containing Hun burial sites are located.

Samarkandek police officers conducted a preventive talk with the archaeological expedition participants. They were reminded of the need to respect each other’s rights, avoid violations, and observe safety precautions.

Particular attention was paid to safety rules in mountainous terrain and the need to avoid hazardous areas.

The archaeological team currently consists of 28 people. Four are local residents, while the others are students from Batken State University, Jalal-Abad State University and Osh State University.

The archaeological work is being conducted under the direction of Khadicha Tashbaeva.
