Where does Kyrgyzstan buy most cars?

China accounted for the largest share, with 38,688 vehicles imported — a 2.6-fold increase.

Kyrgyzstan also imported 25,765 cars from South Korea, 4,332 from the United States, 2,333 from Japan, 1,900 from Germany and 1,410 from Russia.

In June alone, 13,837 passenger cars worth $152,645.2 million were imported into Kyrgyzstan. China supplied 8,055 vehicles, accounting for 58.2 percent of total car imports that month.

In the first half of 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported 1,920 passenger cars worth $46,540.1 million. This was 68.1 percent more than in January—June 2025.

Russia remained the main destination, receiving 1,637 vehicles, compared with 753 in the same period last year.

Kyrgyzstan also increased imports of trucks. In the first six months of 2026, the country imported 13,097 trucks worth $177,351.6 million, an increase of 10.7 percent. In June alone, 2,098 trucks were imported.

Motorcycle imports increased by 22.4 percent to 17,707 units worth $17,247.1 million. Of these, 15,428 motorcycles were supplied by China.
