According to him, the institute operates in three main areas: education, science and medicine.

The institute’s specialists provide highly qualified care to patients with disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the central and peripheral nervous systems.

«We provide emergency care to patients with spinal injuries. They are brought to us within 24 hours, regardless of where the injury occurred, using medical aviation, either air or ground transport, as well as for injuries to the proximal femur. In other words, conditions associated with the highest mortality and disability rates,» Andrei Korytkin said.

He added that the clinic receives a significant number of patients from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and several other countries every year. They generally seek treatment for complications following previous surgical procedures or problems related to the treatment of various conditions.

«As part of our educational activities, we train specialists in three areas that the institute has historically developed, helping to address shortages of qualified personnel in a number of regions of Russia and other countries that turn to us to train highly qualified specialists. The institute performs more than 14,000 high-tech surgeries annually, as well as around 1,500 telemedicine consultations. It also has capabilities involving artificial intelligence and robotic technologies.
