Zhanyshov competed in the 87-kilogram weight class and had four bouts. In his first bout, he defeated his compatriot Azat Salidinov 4-0, then Hungarian Tamas Levai (5-2) and Ukrainian Yaroslav Filchakov (4-1).
In the final, Zhanyshov faced Armenia’s Gevorg Tadevosyan and won 6-0.
Warsaw is hosting the Ziolkowski, Pytlasinski, Poland Open 2026 International Tournament. Kyrgyzstan is represented by its Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling teams.
