About 26 percent of citizens of Kyrgyzstan condemn the persecution of Kamchybek Tashiev and his clan, while over 60 percent approve it.
Nearly 66 percent of respondents consider the secondary Western sanctions imposed on Kyrgyzstan for circumvention of anti-Russian sanctions to be unfair. About 22 percent hold the opposite opinion.
More than half of Kyrgyzstanis disapprove the campaign that has begun in the country to rename streets with Soviet and Russian names. One in five supports it, while one in four was unsure how to respond.
The telephone survey was conducted from May 1 to 17, during which 1,200 people from all regions of the country responded to the questions.
