According to a decree signed by Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev on April 30, 2026, the maximum number of foreign citizens and stateless persons permitted to work in the country has been raised from 52,000 to 100,000 people.

As a result, the labor migration quota for 2026 has nearly doubled.

The document applies to foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving in Kyrgyzstan for employment purposes. The reasons for such a sharp increase in the quota were not specified in the decree.
