The project is financed by the World Bank. Its main goal is to connect the SCADA/EMS system and the national dispatch center, its backup facility, and eight regional centers into one unified network.

The plans also include upgrading equipment and automating processes directly at substations, as well as improving data exchange between them. The Ministry of Energy expects the modernization to speed up responses to emergencies and make electricity supply in the country more reliable.

The tender commission and independent experts have already reviewed the technical components of the bids. Financial proposals will be evaluated during the second stage, after which the winner will be selected.

The ministry emphasized that the entire selection process is being carried out strictly in accordance with World Bank regulations and Kyrgyzstan’s public procurement law.
