According to him, the situation in the hospital is currently stable, but the incidence of acute intestinal infections is gradually increasing.

«While a month ago we only had one ward for such patients, we have now opened another. In total, there are more than 40 patients with acute intestinal infections in these two wards. These are mainly children under five. There are also some adults, but these are isolated cases,» Gulzhigit Aaliev said.

He noted that the increase in cases is related to the season of vegetables, fruits, and berries, as well as the noticeable warming. In the spring and summer, meat and dairy products spoil more quickly. Therefore, it is crucial to observe sanitary standards in places where food is sold, as well as food storage practices at home.

Around 300 patients are currently being treated at the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital.

«We receive 200-250 patients daily. This is considered the most favorable period. At the same time, the hospital is prepared for an influx of patients; we have sufficient supplies of medications and beds,» the head physician noted.
