According to the supervisory authority, during the inspection, they reviewed regulations governing the work of private veterinarians.
The Prosecutor General’s Office found that certain decisions contradicted laws of higher legal force and effectively restricted the rights of entrepreneurs. Specifically, private veterinarians were deprived of the right to conduct veterinary and sanitary inspections in food markets.
Following the prosecutor’s response, the Cabinet of Ministers amended the resolution «On the Regulation of Private Veterinary Practice in the Kyrgyz Republic.»
Now, private veterinarians are once again permitted to conduct veterinary and sanitary inspections in markets and issue test reports.
Additionally, regulations on veterinary and sanitary inspection laboratories in food markets have been approved.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, contracts have been signed with 21 private veterinary specialists to date, granting them specific responsibilities in the area of veterinary and sanitary inspection.
The agency stated that work to protect the rights of entrepreneurs will continue.
