According to him, the Cabinet of Ministers has developed an action plan aimed at stabilizing prices, including commodity intervention measures.

«Prices can not only rise during shortages, but also fall when there is an oversupply of products. Therefore, the issue of creating a stabilization fund for food products will be considered, so that the state has the resources to carry out interventions either through purchases or, conversely, through the sale of goods,» Uran Chekirbaev said.

He noted that Kyrgyz Agroholding OJSC will also work on purchasing or selling vegetables and fruits in the event of a critical market situation.

«Previously, the State Material Reserves Fund mainly worked with three types of goods — oil, sugar and flour. We want to involve Kyrgyz Agroholding in other categories of goods, including vegetables. Although this is a very difficult task, as perishable goods carry a high risk of losses. It is necessary to understand the market well and respond quickly. We are currently working on creating an effective mechanism, but time will show how successful it will be. We already have experience: in 2024-2025, the agroholding purchased vegetables — which are always in abundance in autumn — and sold them in neighboring countries. At the same time, meat was purchased from Belarus and later sold at local fairs at prices below market rates. This requires very precise work in order to maintain balance,» Uran Chekirbaev explained.
