According to law enforcement authorities, a domestic dispute occurred between the spouses on March 9. During the argument, the husband Z.O., 43, allegedly poured boiling syrup on his wife. The woman suffered burns and was hospitalized.

Police said the suspect fled after the incident and avoided investigative procedures. At the request of the investigative department of the Sulaiman-Too police division in Osh, a court ordered his detention in absentia.

The man has been charged under the article «Domestic violence» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Osh resident told about the incident during a meeting with the city mayor. According to her, she underwent treatment for 27 days following the attack.
