The law introduces a new Article 385-1

«Violation of the requirements of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of the halal industry.»

Under the new provisions, penalties are introduced for non-compliance with halal standards in the production, storage, transportation, and sale of products, as well as for violations of requirements related to animal and fish feed.

Administrative liability will also apply to the production of halal goods without documents confirming compliance with established standards, and to the provision of halal services without the required certification.

For individuals, fines are set at 75 calculated rates (7,500 soms), while legal entities face fines of 230 calculated rates (23,000 soms).

Stricter penalties are provided for violations of certification procedures for halal products and services, as well as for issuing compliance documents without proper inspections. In such cases, legal entities may be fined 650 calculated rates (65,000 soms).

The law will come into force in ten days after its official publication.
