The ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Erlis Akunbekov, as well as Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev. The transferred equipment is intended to strengthen the sector’s material and technical base and improve the resilience of energy infrastructure.
The specialized machinery was purchased using the own funds of the National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan OJSC at a cost of 181.6 million soms. The equipment will later be distributed among power grid enterprises across the republic. The shipment includes backhoe loaders, aerial work platforms, tractor units, trailers, and vehicles for rapid response teams.
During the event, Erlis Akunbekov inspected the new equipment and emphasized its important role in ensuring the reliable operation of power grids and the rapid elimination of emergency situations. He was also presented with information on digital projects being implemented in the energy sector. In particular, the official visited a data center and reviewed its technical capabilities, current operations, and prospects for further development.
The new equipment will make it possible to carry out major construction and reconstruction work at energy facilities in a timely and high-quality manner, promptly eliminate emergencies, improve the reliability of electricity supply, and ensure uninterrupted operation of distribution networks.
In addition, another eight units of crane-manipulator equipment are planned to be purchased during 2026, bringing the total number of renewed vehicles and machinery to 49 units.
In 2025, at least 140 units of specialized equipment worth 379.1 million soms were purchased and distributed among electric grid enterprises throughout the country to strengthen the energy sector.
