According to him, Kyrgyzstan’s annual demand for mineral fertilizers amounts to 182,300 tons.
«To date, 71,100 tons have been delivered to the republic, which covers 39 percent of the total demand. Mineral fertilizers are supplied by eight companies and sold through 40 distribution points across the country. The price of one kilogram of ammonia nitrate fertilizer ranges from 43 to 46 soms,» Mirbek Duisheev said.
He added that fertilizer prices have increased by 40–50 percent this year. «This is linked to logistics issues in light of the recent events in Iran,» the deputy minister noted.
