Earlier, a mudflow hit Balykchy—Ananyevo—Karakol road. Water streams blocked approximately the 100th kilometer of the road, forcing authorities to temporarily close traffic in both directions. Several vehicles became trapped on the affected section. One person was killed, while another was reported missing and had been the subject of search efforts.
