According to the data, foreigners purchased 2,408 real estate properties in Kyrgyzstan during the period under review. Russian citizens accounted for the largest number of transactions with 1,238 deals. They were followed by citizens of Kazakhstan with 424 transactions, China with 311, Turkey with 145, and Germany with 56.

The lawmaker noted that more than 62,000 real estate purchase and sale transactions were registered in the country last year, while transactions involving Chinese citizens accounted for around 0.44 percent of the total market.

According to the statistics, Chinese citizens completed 272 transactions in 2025 and 39 deals in the first quarter of 2026. The total area of the acquired properties amounted to 32,540 square meters, including 4,260 square meters of land plots.

Dastan Bekeshev stated that the figures do not confirm widespread claims about the mass purchase of real estate in Kyrgyzstan by Chinese citizens.

At the same time, he stressed that the relatively small share does not eliminate the need for state oversight.

«There should be continuous and transparent monitoring: who is buying, where they are buying, how many properties one person owns, whether purchases are being made in strategic or border areas, and whether front persons are being used,» the deputy wrote.
