He said that in 2025 the country was visited by approximately 10 million tourists, while the tourism sector’s contribution to the economy exceeds $1 billion.

Eduard Kubatov noted that the positive dynamics are driven by the work of the State Agency for Tourism Development. Currently, the sector accounts for more than 5 percent of the country’s GDP, with plans to increase this figure to 7.5 percent in the coming years.

«The removal of the country from the blacklist is a great development. It will open new opportunities for direct flights from Kyrgyzstan to European countries, which will directly increase tourist flows and support tourism development in the republic,» he said.
