The sides noted the adoption of the Law «On Climate Activity,» which establishes a legal framework for implementing national climate policy, fulfilling Kyrgyzstan’s international obligations under climate change agreements, and attracting climate finance.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of Kyrgyzstan’s updated nationally determined contribution, mobilization of climate funding, strengthening national capacity in monitoring, reporting, and assessing progress, as well as integrating climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation into national programs and projects.

Air quality issues, improvement of environmental monitoring systems, reduction of environmental pollution, and further development of interagency cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.

The parties also addressed preparations for the Bishkek+25 Mountain Summit, including promotion of mountain ecosystem conservation and strengthening climate resilience in mountain regions on international platforms.
