According to him, the new measures are aimed at ensuring the state receives a fair share of revenues from rising global precious metal prices.

As the head of the State Tax Service noted, the price of gold on global markets is significantly higher today than it was several years ago, so the state should not remain on the sidelines of the additional profits that companies receive thanks to favorable pricing conditions.

«When global gold prices rise and break records, the state cannot pretend nothing is happening. If the market receives additional profits due to rising global prices, the state and citizens of the country should also receive a fair share of this growth,» Almambet Shykmamatov said.

He recalled that the decree provides for the introduction of higher tax rates on the income of mining and processing enterprises engaged in gold and silver production. The tax burden will depend on prices on international commodity exchanges.

According to the head of the Tax Service, the mechanism is based on the principle: the higher the global price of gold, the more revenue the state receives.

The State Tax Service Chairman emphasized that the proposed changes reflect a new approach to tax policy, which creates more favorable conditions for bona fide businesses while simultaneously increasing liability for violators.

«We tell businesses: earn, create, invest, develop. But at the same time, we say: the rules must be the same for everyone. This is common sense economics,» he noted.

According to the head of the State Tax Service, the purpose of the reforms is to reduce pressure on those who work openly and create economic value, while simultaneously strengthening control over those who shirk their obligations to the state.
