According to the city police, a report of a woman with a knife wound was received by the 102 service on the evening of June 11 from Kara-Balta Street. Investigators who arrived at the scene established that a woman identified as A.A., 73, had been stabbed in the neck by her nephew, who then fled the scene.

A criminal case was opened on charges of attempted murder. During search measures, law enforcement officers identified the suspect as B.R., 24.

Less than an hour later, police received another report. At the intersection of Zhibek Zholu Avenue and Ala-Archa Street, an unidentified man was reportedly holding a young woman and threatening her with a knife.

Officers of the Patrol Police Service, with assistance from bystanders, detained the suspect at the scene. A subsequent investigation confirmed that the detained individual was the same person wanted in connection with the earlier attack on the woman.

The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility. Necessary forensic examinations have been ordered, and the investigation is ongoing.
