A competition for the best elechek was held in Naryn, the City Hall reported.
The event was part of the Youth Forum «Kyrgyzstan of My Dreams: Naryn 2026», organized by the City Hall.
The goal of the competition was to popularize the elechek—a traditional national headdress for Kyrgyz women—develop the art of making and wearing it, and pass on this knowledge to future generations.
Around 200 women participated in the event. Winners were selected in nine categories.
