According to officials, the mudflows originated from Arabtyn gorge located south of the village, as well as from Uzun-Bulak riverbed on the northern side.
Thanks to the rapid response of emergency services and deployed heavy machinery, the mudflows were redirected toward Chon-Chychkan River and further into Talas River channel, bringing the situation under control.
The Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Talas region reported that the courtyards of two residential houses on Ibraimov Sharshenbay Street and the basement of one house on Alymbek uulu Turusbek Street were temporarily flooded. The water has since soaked into the ground.
Mudflows from Uzun-Bulak riverbed also affected one residential house with an adjacent farmyard, auxiliary building, and a road leading to summer pastures. No significant damage to the residential structure was reported. After emergency response operations, the flow was redirected to a safe channel.
Damage assessments and road inspections continue in cooperation with the civil protection commission.
According to preliminary data, no casualties have been reported. No significant damage to livestock, agricultural land, or residential property has been recorded.
A similar situation was also reported in Aitmatov district of Talas region, where relevant services continue to monitor the situation.
