According to criminal statistics, 2,218 serious and especially serious crimes were recorded, up 7.8 percent year-on-year.

The majority of cases were crimes against property, accounting for 71 percent of the total. This increase was mainly driven by a 1.7-fold rise in fraud cases, while robberies decreased by 30.2 percent, thefts by 24.9 percent, extortion by 23.6 percent, and muggings by 10.3 percent.

Crimes against a person also increased by 34.8 percent compared to the same period in 2025.

Within this category, reported rape cases rose 1.7 times, while cases of grievous bodily harm increased by 10.4 percent.

At the same time, incidents of less severe bodily harm decreased by 12.4 percent, and homicides fell by 10.6 percent.

Drug-related crimes increased by 4.4 percent over the reporting period.

A total of 1,928 crimes were committed in public places, mostly involving theft, hooliganism, and robbery.

Authorities identified 9,500 individuals involved in criminal activity, which is 16.5 percent more than in the same period of 2025. Women accounted for 13.7 percent of offenders, minors 4.2 percent, and 65.8 percent were unemployed and not studying.
