According to the statement, a commemorative ceremony will take place on August 8 at the memorial to the victims of the Urkun in the village of Kyzyl-Dyikan, Zhaiyl district. A requiem rally with Quran recitations and other events dedicated to preserving historical memory will then be held at Ata-Beyit Historical and Memorial Complex.

In addition, as part of the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors, an international scientific and practical conference will be held in the country on November 6–7. Kyrgyz and foreign scholars will discuss the causes and consequences of the Urkun, its place in national history, and recent research on the events. The program will also include a theatrical performance, thematic exhibitions, and other cultural events.

The organizers include the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, the National Academy of Sciences, Plenipotentiary Representatives of the President in Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Naryn regions, as well as several state universities. The events will be held under the instruction of State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Arslan Koichiev.
