According to the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan, ISPhO is one of the most prestigious international competitions in research physics among high school students. This year, the Olympiad brought together 148 of the strongest students from 30 countries. Participants competed in solving complex theoretical and experimental physics tasks.

Kyrgyzstan was represented at the Olympiad by a team of 10 students and four supervisors.

Following the competition, the Kyrgyzstan’s team won a silver and three bronze medals, as well as three honorary diplomas.

Aitegin Emilbekov, an 11th-grade student at Gazprom Kyrgyzstan school.

Temirkhan Saliev, an 11th-grade student at Gazprom Kyrgyzstan school;

Umar Tutashbaev, a 10th-grade student at Gazprom Kyrgyzstan school;

Akhmed Abylaev, an 11th-grade student at Seitek-STEM school.

The national team’s preparation was supported by team leaders Salizhan Kylychbekov, Andrey Sidorenko, Chyntemir Sabyrov, and Emir Anaraly uulu.

«The successful performance of the Kyrgyzstan’s schoolchildren at ISPhO 2026 confirms the high level of preparation of the participants, the effectiveness of their mentors, and the importance of systematic support for the Olympiad movement. Participation in international intellectual competitions contributes to the development of schoolchildren’s research competencies, increasing their scientific potential and strengthening the international authority of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of education and science,» the Ministry of Education noted.
