Officers stopped a Toyota Corolla at the intersection of Mahatma Gandhi and Ala-Archa Streets. In the sports bag of one of the passengers, they found two pistols, a submachine gun with ammunition, a sawed-off shotgun, four stun grenades, a mask, and a camouflage uniform.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 267 «Illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Main Department of Internal Affairs reported that the detainee was a man, 43, with multiple criminal records, whom the agency links to an organized crime group.

According to the suspect, about four years ago criminal figure Chyngyz Zhumagulov, widely known as Doo Chyngyz, gave him a bag and asked him to hide it temporarily. The man claimed that after discovering weapons inside, he became frightened and buried the bag in a forest belt. He later learned about Zhumagulov’s arrest and subsequent death.

The seized weapon has been sent for forensic examination. The suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility, and the investigation is ongoing.
