According to the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan, the competition was held from July 10 to 19, 2026, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, bringing together some of the world’s strongest school students who demonstrated their knowledge and practical skills in chemistry.
The Kyrgyz team was trained and led by Professor Tynchtyk Amatov, Elbrus Tazhibaev, Ivan Reshetnikov, and Maksatbek Kakhramanov.
In addition, Kyrgyz students won two bronze medals and one honorary diploma at the 37th International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2026), held from July 12 to 19 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Atakhan Isiraev, an 11th-grade student at Kut Bilim educational complex in Issyk-Kul region. Trainer: Askhatbek Temirkulov;
Ulukbek Ruslanbekov, a 10th-grade student at Seitek-STEM educational institution. Trainer: Elbrus Tazhibaev.
An 11th-grade student of the Maarif educational institution, Irina Razvodovskaya, received an honorary diploma. Her trainer was Arseniy Vinogradov.
The national biology team of Kyrgyzstan was led by Dayan Melisov and Baktynur Azhibaev.
