According to the decree, from July 21, 2026, to July 21, 2029, commercial fishing, transportation, storage, sale, purchase, and export of all species of fish in Lakes Issyk-Kul and Son-Kul are prohibited.

This decision is aimed at preserving biological diversity, restoring fish resources, and ensuring the sustainable use of aquatic ecosystems in the Kyrgyz Republic.

This decree will enter into force on July 21, 2026.
