Of this number, 2,415 families continue to reside in hazardous zones despite the state having allocated land plots and provided assistance for relocation.

The largest number of such families is registered in Osh region, where 2,396 families live in landslide-prone areas. Of them, 1,475 families have not yet moved to safer locations.

«Landslides most often occur in spring due to snowmelt and heavy precipitation. However, the risk remains in autumn as prolonged rains can also trigger soil movement,» the ministry said.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens not to live in landslide-prone areas, to strictly follow official warnings, and to relocate to safe areas in a timely manner.
