According to the decree, Zhamangulov was relieved of his duties at his own request following the submission of his resignation letter.

Earlier, under another presidential decree signed by Sadyr Japarov in April, the functions of the Ministry of Digital Development were transferred to the Presidential Affairs Department as part of the decree «On Urgent Measures for the Effective Implementation of Digital Transformation.»

Until the reorganization of the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies is completed, Deputy Minister Aibek Omor uulu has been appointed as acting head of the ministry.
