According to it, the EU added 15 companies from China and 11 companies from five other countries to the latest sanctions list. These include three companies from Turkey, three from Kyrgyzstan, two each from Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, and one from India.

Other key measures included in the 21st sanctions package are:

the introduction of a mechanism allowing the EU to fully ban crypto-asset services provided by companies from third countries;

the creation of a legal basis for imposing visa bans on participants in Russia’s military operation in Ukraine;

a ban on transactions with one bank in Kyrgyzstan linked to the use of SPFS (System for Transfer of Financial Messages), as well as with three banks in other third countries;

expanded sanctions targeting Russia’s metallurgy and gold sectors, including restrictions against one of the country’s largest diamond mining companies;

a ban on transactions involving 14 crypto-asset platforms based in Georgia, Panama, the United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus;

sanctions against 41 additional tankers, bringing the total number of sanctioned vessels to 673;

sanctions on 37 Russian manufacturers of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs);

restrictive measures against 56 individuals and legal entities linked to Russia’s military-industrial complex;

a ban on transactions by EU businesses with two Russian ports and four airports;

a requirement for European companies to notify the European Commission when selling LNG tankers to Russia, with the EU planning to further restrict such transactions in the future.
