According to her, bilateral relations have stood the test of time.

«Russia has always been there. On the one hand, it has respected the independent and sovereign path chosen by Kyrgyzstan, and on the other, it has always been ready to provide assistance whenever it was needed,» Zakharova said.

She added that Russia has not interfered in Kyrgyzstan’s domestic affairs or sought to play a dominant role.

Zakharova also stressed that Kyrgyzstan has always reciprocated this approach. She noted that ties between the two countries extend far beyond official cooperation, encompassing people-to-people contacts, mixed families and marriages, business and economic relations, as well as cooperation in culture, education, and professional training.
