The exhibition in question concerns the temporary international exhibition «Harmony Creates Beauty: Art of Ancient Chinese Civilization,» which will run from August 15 to November 15. The project is organized within the framework of memorandums of cooperation between the National History Museum of Kyrgyzstan and the museums of Tianjin and Inner Mongolia.

The ministry emphasized that the exhibition will not be housed in the permanent exhibition halls, but in available spaces designated for international and temporary exhibitions. The museum’s permanent exhibitions will continue to operate as usual.

The Ministry of Culture also recalled that in 2025, a traveling exhibition from the National History Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic was held at the National Museum of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing. According to the ministry, international temporary exhibitions are a common practice for collaboration between museums in different countries.

The ministry urged citizens and the media to rely on official sources and not disseminate unverified information.

A video had previously circulated on social media showing Chinese-language displays installed inside the museum. The author of the video claimed that two floors of the National Museum of History were being handed over to the Chinese side.
