- The Cabinet of Ministers has amended decisions concerning government agencies and local governments.
- The State Agency for Civil Service and Local Government Affairs is tasked to coordinate and monitor implementation of the Law on Conflicts of Interest.
- HR departments must now verify declarations of interest, not just collect them.
- A separate procedure for verification is to be developed within three months.
- The resolution takes effect in ten days.
Furthermore, human resources departments of government agencies and local governments are now required not only to collect declarations of interest of employees but also to verify them.
The state agency has also been instructed to develop and approve a separate procedure for verifying such declarations within three months.
In essence, this means that information provided by government and municipal employees regarding their personal interests will be subject to separate verification, and oversight of the entire system will be entrusted to the relevant state agency.
The resolution will come into force in ten days.
