The event brought together graduates of KOICA educational programs, representatives of government institutions, and experts. The seminar provided a platform for sharing knowledge and practical experience on climate change, environmental safety, air quality, and the development of a green economy.

The seminar featured three thematic presentations.

The first presentation focused on the development of a comprehensive nationwide early warning and information system in the context of climate change. Participants were introduced to approaches aimed at improving public information and response mechanisms to climate-related risks.

The second presentation addressed the assessment of the impact of building characteristics and heating systems on air quality in Bishkek. The discussion covered factors affecting air quality, as well as the importance of energy-efficient buildings and modern heating systems.

The third presentation focused on the green economy and opportunities for its development.

Following each presentation, question-and-answer sessions were held, allowing participants to ask questions, discuss the topics presented, and share their professional experiences with the experts.

The seminar was held as part of the CIAT (Capacity Improvement & Advancement for Tomorrow) program, one of KOICA’s key educational initiatives aimed at strengthening the professional capacity of public officials in partner countries and promoting cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The seminar served as another important step in promoting professional knowledge exchange among KOICA alumni, government representatives, and experts, while further contributing to cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea in the areas of sustainable development and environmental safety.
