A decline was also recorded in travel to Kazakhstan, where the tourist flow fell by 4.6 percent.

Despite the current decrease, Russia remains among the top three countries of origin for visitors to Kyrgyzstan.

Uzbekistan was the leading source of visitors to Kyrgyzstan last year, accounting for 6.5 million arrivals. Kazakhstan ranked second, with around 3 million travelers.

Among Central Asian countries, only Uzbekistan has so far released preliminary statistics for the first half of 2026. In the first six months of the year, 1.55 million Uzbek citizens visited neighboring Kyrgyzstan for tourism purposes.

At the same time, Russian citizens ranked fourth among visitors to Uzbekistan, with 710,824 trips. Kyrgyz citizens remained the leading group of visitors to Uzbekistan, with nearly 2.2 million arrivals.
