According to police, during the Illegal Migrant Operation, it was established that foreign national Yu.L., 43, had violated the rules of stay in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Police said that while the violation report was being drawn up, the foreign national offered a police officer $300 to avoid liability.

The suspect was caught red-handed while handing over the $300 to an officer of the Service for Combating Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Internal Affairs Department of Oktyabrsky district in the officer’s office. A criminal case was opened under Article 345 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The foreign national was placed in a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
