Dr. Hassan Chagil, a member of the Board of Directors of USHAŞ, said the Turkish side was ready to share their accumulated experience and provide expert and advisory support to Kyrgyzstan. The discussion focused in particular on cooperation in pharmaceutical supply, healthcare delivery, information technology and improving the healthcare system.
Particular attention was paid to pharmaceutical supply and the development of domestic pharmaceutical production. The Turkish side presented its experience in reforming the sector, including the development of generic drug manufacturing, improving procurement procedures and increasing access to medicines while taking into account the capacity of the domestic market.
The sides also discussed prospects for localizing the production of certain medicines in Kyrgyzstan. It was noted that such decisions should be based on actual domestic market needs and economic feasibility. Potentially promising areas could include the production of medicines in high demand and products whose transportation involves significant logistics costs.
Damir Osmonov spoke about ongoing efforts to introduce a system for tracking medicines and plans to further develop this area.
«It is important for us to study Turkey’s practical experience and consider solutions that can be adapted to the needs of Kyrgyzstan’s healthcare system. Pharmaceutical supply, the development of domestic pharmaceutical production and digitalization are of particular importance to us. We are interested in continuing the expert dialogue and further exploring practical areas of cooperation,» he said.
