According to him, the company is currently negotiating with the Xi’an authorities. To implement the project, Kyrgyzstan is acquiring a 9-hectare plot of land.

The new center will become part of the Xi’an—Kashgar—Osh multimodal route. Cargo will be transported by rail from Xi’an to Kashgar and then by road to the southern terminal in Osh.

As reported, 30 trucks are being prepared to transport cargo between the Chinese and Kyrgyz hubs. From Osh, the cargo is planned to be shipped onward by rail.

«This route will be launched before the China—Kyrgyzstan—Uzbekistan railway becomes operational, as the railway is currently under construction,» Hou Song Tao said.

According to him, establishing the company in Xi’an and building the terminal will make it possible to launch new routes in advance, increase freight volumes and boost revenues in Kyrgyzstan’s railway sector.
