«It is extremely important to us that citizens of Kyrgyzstan have access to high-quality medicines that meet international standards. Cooperation with global companies such as Sanofi opens up new opportunities for patients and the entire healthcare system,» Damir Osmonov noted.
Following the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing direct drug supplies to the Kyrgyz Republic through the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyzfamatsiya. It is expected that such a mechanism will reduce the number of intermediaries, increase the availability of medicines, and create conditions for more favorable drug prices for the country.
Special attention was paid to the development of telemedicine. The French side is ready to consider cooperation on the implementation of digital solutions that will strengthen the connection between medical facilities in remote areas and leading clinics in Bishkek and regional centers. This is particularly important for improving access to specialized medical care in the regions.
In addition, the prospects for digitizing drug procurement processes and increasing the transparency of the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyzfarmatsiya were discussed. The discussion focused on the possible implementation of modern IT solutions to improve the system for managing and monitoring drug supplies.
In recent years, there has been discussion in Kyrgyzstan’s pharmaceutical market regarding the reduced presence of several international companies, including Sanofi products. However, the current negotiations have demonstrated the French side’s interest in resuming and expanding cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic.
Sanofi is one of the leading international pharmaceutical companies, producing drugs for the treatment of diabetes, cardiovascular, oncological, rare, and immunological diseases, as well as vaccines and innovative medicines.
