The special operation was carried out by officers of the Drug Control Service in cooperation with the State Customs Service, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, Russia’s Federal Customs Service, and the Main Directorate for Drug Control of the Russian Interior Ministry.

According to the investigation, the criminal group organized a scheme for importing and distributing psychotropic substances through the Telegram messenger.

The drugs were distributed contactlessly through hidden drop points.

In Bishkek, law enforcement officers detained one of the suspected members of the drug network — a 20-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan. During a search of a Hyundai Grandeur vehicle, officers discovered about 3 kilograms of psychotropic substances, 21 packets containing a white crystalline substance with a total weight of about 18 grams, and drug packaging equipment, including electronic scales, ZIP bags, and adhesive tape.

According to the Interior Ministry, the prohibited substances were concealed inside structural compartments of the vehicle’s automatic transmission, indicating a meticulously planned smuggling scheme.

At the same time, Russian law enforcement authorities in Moscow detained the alleged sender of the drugs — a man born in 1996. During a search, officers seized about 700 grams of psychotropic substances intended for distribution in the Russian capital.

Preliminary estimates suggest that the value of the seized shipment on the black market could exceed 16 million soms. Law enforcement officials believe the operation prevented the distribution of more than 15,000 single doses of synthetic drugs in Kyrgyzstan.

The investigation established that the suspect detained in Bishkek was responsible for receiving, storing, packaging, and further distributing the drugs through a drop-off point system.

According to received data, he was paid in cryptocurrency.

Operational and investigative measures aimed at identifying other members of the international drug network and the channels used to finance the criminal activity are ongoing.
