According to the press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, along with the meeting, an international exercise was organized for CSTO member states’ teams on responding to biological threats using mobile laboratories.

It is noted that Kyrgyz specialists had the opportunity to develop additional skills in interagency cooperation, assessing the biological situation, practicing emergency response algorithms and identifying hazardous factors to protect the population.

The experience gained (tactical analysis and strategic planning) will be applied in the simulation exercise planned by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health prior to the 6th World Nomad Games in September 2026.

«In the face of increasing threats associated with the emergence and spread of dangerous infectious diseases, timely and effective response are critical. One of the unique technologies for rapid response to public health emergencies is mobile biological laboratories, capable of operating autonomously, providing laboratory testing using advanced diagnostic methods,» the statement reads.

From 2015 to 2024, Kyrgyzstan received six mobile laboratories from the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being, with support from the Russian government. These laboratories are used for joint epizootological surveys of natural foci of particularly dangerous infections.
