Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision Akyl Toktobaev emphasized at the meeting that the Kyrgyz Republic maintains its leadership in advancing the international agenda for the conservation of snow leopards and their mountain ecosystems, being one of the initiators and active participants of the Global Snow Leopard and Ecosystem Protection Program (GSLEP).

Kyrgyzstan emphasized its commitment to developing ecological corridors, expanding the network of specially protected natural areas, introducing modern wildlife monitoring technologies, and engaging local communities in preserving the region’s unique natural heritage.
