According to him, exceptions may only be made for socially vulnerable groups of citizens—low-income families, orphans, widows, and large families. Overall, the practice of allocating land plots for housing construction will be discontinued.

«The population of Kyrgyzstan has reached 7.5 million. In 7-8 years, it could reach 10 million. The population is growing, but the land is not growing. Therefore, state policy is aimed at vertical urban development—the construction of apartment buildings,» Amankan Kenzhebaev said.

He also announced that a State Mortgage Company residential complex with 1,000 apartments is planned for completion in Uzgen district this fall. Additional 2,000 apartments are expected to be commissioned next year.

Additionally, 15 hectares of land have been allocated for the construction of a residential complex with 5,000 apartments.

Amankan Kenzhebaev added that housing under the State Mortgage Program is being built in virtually all districts of Osh region.
