He noted the progressive development of interaction between the parliaments of the two countries.

In turn, Kürsad Zorlu conveyed greetings from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He noted that he has been closely following the development of Kyrgyzstan for many years and is pleased to see the strengthening of Kyrgyzstan — Turkey relations.

According to him, in recent years, cooperation between the two fraternal countries has reached the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership, which has opened up new opportunities for deepening cooperation in various areas.

Noting the positive dynamics of trade and economic ties, he expressed confidence that the current volume of mutual trade, which has reached approximately $1.6 billion, can be increased to $5 billion in the future thanks to the joint efforts of the leadership of the two countries.

He also congratulated the Kyrgyz Republic on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.

Kürsad Zorlu is a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey representing Ankara, deputy chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), and head of the Turkic States Relations Department. He is a specialist in public administration and a professor of political science. Zorlu was previously a member of the opposition İYİ Party, from which he was elected as an MP in 2023. In 2025, he switched to the AK Party, the Justice and Development Party of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
