According to Adylbek Kasymaliev, at year-end 2025, trade turnover between the two countries exceeded $1 billion, an increase of 19 percent compared to the previous year. Over the past five years, mutual trade has doubled.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation in industry, agriculture, energy, logistics, and investment. Kyrgyzstan proposed intensifying the work of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Development Fund, increasing its capital, and accelerating the launch of joint industrial parks and logistics centers.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the region’s largest infrastructure projects. This included the construction of China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway, which the parties call the New Silk Road of the 21st century, as well as joint work on Kambarata-1 Hydropower Station (HPP) project.

Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov emphasized Tashkent’s interest in further strengthening cooperation and implementing specific projects aimed at developing the economies of the two countries.

Following the meeting, the protocol of the 12th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission was signed.
